Science

"Daddy? Pee is all of the stuff that you drink that your body doesn't need, right? And poop is all the food you eat that your butt doesn't need, right?"

Yup

"Daddy, why do you think pee is yellow and poop is brown?"

Mommy works at the hospital, go ask her.

First day of [Pre]School

Today Mommy and I dropped Max off for his first day of preschool at Canterbury Creek. He was incredibly excited, having talked about "going to school" for as long as we can remember.

Bobbie Jo secretly hoped he would be a bit nervous, being handed off to a stranger. Unfortunately for her, that couldn't have been further from the truth.

Meeting my Nephew

On June 20th, Bobbie Jo and Max dropped me off at the Airport. I was heading to Arizona for 5 days to meet my nephew Jack.

The only immediate family member yet to meet him, I spent the majority of my vacation relaxing with Brother Ben and Nephew Jack. He's a fun kid, and now at 4 months his personality is starting to shine.

Ben and I hit Tempe and Phoenix on Saturday, and I got to see another Ballpark; Chase Field, Home of the Arizona Diamondbacks (and 2011 All Star Game).

This picture was too cute to not include

The morning I left, I was able to read the book I bought him just a few weeks earlier - "Go the F&@K to Sleep!".

I can't wait to see you again kiddo. Hopefully soon!

The results are in....

....and she's 4 weeks pregnant with ONE BABY!

Another ultrasound was scheduled for weeks from today, but the doctor is confident that on (or near) March 6, 2012, we should have a baby!

3? 2? 1?

On Wednesday, June 15th Bobbie Jo had THREE "extremely viable" embryos implanted. The decision was left up to us, and we both determined that putting all three in would give us the best shot at growing our family.

Almost two weeks later, on Sunday the 26th, Bobbie Jo had a positive pee test.
On Monday the 27th, a positive blood test.
Wednesday the 29th, another positive blood test (the results were "good", but slightly below the levels the fertility specialist likes to see).

We're expecting to hear the results of this morning's blood test in the next few hours. Bobbie Jo is extremely anxious; I'm expecting good news.

If the results come back and look good, our ultrasound is on the 18th of July. That's when we find out how much bigger our family may become.

Stay tuned.......

Grade A, Extra Large

Apparently this is what they look like before they start scattering their toys all over the place. The third must be hiding.
All three were graded as "2+" (that's good).
