Boy stuff
Yesterday, Bobbie Jo brought Max's jeans up to show them to me. They were grass stained, caked with dirt, and the knees were wearing out. She also mentioned how his shoes are starting to wear out, and are beyond cleaning.
I just got a text from her that Max was playing with his first worm. He put it in the trunk of his "car".

Stops and Starts
Looking back over the last many months of blog posts, I realize the difficulty in writing about things as they happen. What appear as "milestones" are frequently not, and sometimes are not repeated as soon as we expected them to be.
We still struggle with Max's eating. He's slowly becoming interested in big boy foods, but not at the speed we would like. He's eaten many things, but unfortunately something he likes on Tuesday gets a loud "nope" on a Wednesday.
He hasn't been interested in the potty either since the last time. We're working with him on it, but he just doesn't want it right now. It'll all come in time.
He's a great kid, and wicked smart. We're very lucky to have such an outstanding kid, and the things that we're having trouble with pale in comparison to all that he has accomplished. Great work kid!

Max's Two Year Photo Shoot
We scheduled some time and met with our friend Dan Terpstra to do Max's two-year photos. He had fun with Max's high level of energy, and struggled to get pictures of him where he wasn't moving at a million miles an hour.
The pictures are FANTASTIC, and as we always are with Dan's photography, we are thrilled. Below is a sample of some of the great shots he got.
